It all began with a simple idea. To walk in solidarity with one community, sharing in its struggles and also in its dreams. Over the years, we’ve come to mourn their losses and celebrate their successes as if they were our own.
Santa María Tzejá is a tightly woven community with a long history of community organization and civic engagement, as a result, it is a highly organized community with numerous community lead committees.
Partners for Guatemala Education works directly with the community leadership-as a partner-in the shared goal of bringing access to high quality education to the children of Santa María Tzejá.
